Z is for Zilker Botanical Gardens

We visited the beautiful Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, Texas a couple of years ago when our son lived in the area. It's a great take-in on a warm, sunny day. If you plan to visit, check out their website first at http://www.zilkergarden.org/.

  4. Beautiful flowers, Bob. It's been ages since I visited a botanical garden, so this was a very nice post in that regard. The colors ... my goodness ... splendid.

Congrats on completing the Challenge. Quite the project, wasn't it? While I'm ready for a break, I'll miss the daily excitement. :) Hope to see you around the blogging world -- a new venture for me, and so wild and fun. Looking forward to many more of your posts.

  5. Oh look at that bench! How awesome is that? I want one just like it to go under my crabapple trees at home :)

  10. I love these places too - went to the Denver one a few weeks ago and nothing was growing, but I got to see the bones of the landscape architecture which gave me all KINDS of ideas for my garden.

  13. Wow! That gate is fantastic! Charlie and I love to visit gardens. He hates to travel, but I can sometimes coax him to take a trip if there's a garden at the end of it. :)
