Z is for Zilker Botanical Gardens

We visited the beautiful Zilker Botanical Gardens in Austin, Texas a couple of years ago when our son lived in the area. It's a great take-in on a warm, sunny day. If you plan to visit, check out their website first at http://www.zilkergarden.org/.

I'm not sure if my comment went through, so I'll try again. Beautiful photos! I feel like I'm right there at the gardens with you.

Beautiful flowers, Bob. It's been ages since I visited a botanical garden, so this was a very nice post in that regard. The colors ... my goodness ... splendid.

Congrats on completing the Challenge. Quite the project, wasn't it? While I'm ready for a break, I'll miss the daily excitement. :) Hope to see you around the blogging world -- a new venture for me, and so wild and fun. Looking forward to many more of your posts.

Oh look at that bench! How awesome is that? I want one just like it to go under my crabapple trees at home :)

The butterfly one rocks; my favorite is the last photo of that fence/gate thing -- it is gorgeous! Congratulations for completing the challenge, Bob :)

I love these places too - went to the Denver one a few weeks ago and nothing was growing, but I got to see the bones of the landscape architecture which gave me all KINDS of ideas for my garden.

Congrats on making it to Z. How wonderful to have a botanical garden to end with.

My parents sell the beautiful butterfly benches in their American craft gallery on Martha's Vineyard (CRAFTWORKS in Oak Bluffs). Small world! Congrats on completing the challenge, Bob.

Wow! That gate is fantastic! Charlie and I love to visit gardens. He hates to travel, but I can sometimes coax him to take a trip if there's a garden at the end of it. :)
